Brian Gibson, President / Senior Adjuster

Brian is the President and managing member of Gibson & Associates. He started his career in the electronics industry and holds a degree as an Electronic Engineer Technician from Rents Electronic School in Nutley, NJ. He continued his professional studies at the College of Insurance in New York City. Brian is a member of New Jersey Public Adjusters Association (NJPAA), and has 20-plus years experience as an expert in both commercial and homeowner claims.

Rui Silva, Vice President / Senior Adjuster

Rui graduated from New Jersey City University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He furthered his education by studying foreign language proficiency and obtaining a bilingual education from New York University, along with a certificate in Portuguese from the Portuguese National Honor Society. He began his professional career in retail sales with Wakefern Foods Corporation as an Inventory Control Specialist. Rui is a member of the NJPAA.

Ray Schmitz

Ray served as a Fireman in the Passaic Fire Department for 25 years. He retired at the rank of Captain. Ray served as the Communications Officer where he was a liaison between fire departments from Passaic and Bergen counties. Upon his retirement he decided to continue his work helping fire victims as a public adjuster for Gibson & Associates. Ray utilizes his experience as a Communications Officer to coordinate on-site emergency services for our clients. He is also responsible for handling numerous tasks related to property loss including inventory damage assessment, on-site meetings, and customer care. Ray has proven himself to be an invaluable member of our loss adjustment team.

Andrew Gibson, Adjuster

Andrew is a second-generation Public Adjuster. Andrew is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, while working for his father and supporting Gibson & Associates. Andrew worked alongside his father during Super Storm Sandy claim adjustments, where he found his passion for helping families cope with the devastation they sustained to their homes and businesses.

Joanne Gibson

Joanne started her carrier as an Adjusters Assistant, working on the behalf of insurance companies for the firm General Adjustment Bureau. She soon switched over to public adjusting for policyholders. She is the heart and soul of Gibson & Associates – managing the office and in claim support.
